About Able Works
Able Works provides youth and young adults with on-ramps to the Silicon Valley economy. We do this by equipping individuals with financial education, life skills and assets that enable a life free from generational and systemic poverty and oppression.

Our two programs, FutureProfits and LiveAble:Cohorts, allow us to target youth and young adults at critical times in their lives. FutureProfits is an education program that partners with local organizations and public high schools in South San Mateo County and provides 24 hours of curriculum in a school year. Through this program, we teach about fundamental financial paradigms, life and job skills, and combat myths about money that can be detrimental to their futures.

LiveAble:Cohorts is set up in a group learning model for peers to move forward together in a healthy environment while having group accountability and mentorship. The cohorts seek to bring economic self-sufficiency to young adults and help them move from merely surviving to thriving and escape economic survival mode. Through this program, cohort members have access to financial education, credit counseling, mental health counseling, legal services, case management, budgeting principles, access to affordable housing and personal resource development.
